Upon graduation, Ms. Vitti acted as in house counsel to a physicians’
practice management company. Ms. Vitti
established an in-house legal department and conducted due diligence while
the company went public.
Ms. Vitti also handled general corporate matters and oversaw the collection of over $30 million in medical
receivables.
Subsequently, Ms. Vitti was associated with Ross, Suchoff, Hankin, Handwerker, Maidenbaum and Mazel
and a general practice firm. For five years, she litigated commercial, real estate
and subrogation claims, conducted trials, handled real estate closings,
appeared at conferences and argued motions. Additionally, Ms. Vitti handled
numerous bankruptcy filings, matrimonial disputes and appeals.
Ms. Vitti then joined Gersten, Savage, Kapolowitz, Wolf and Marcus
primarily litigating commercial and securities claims. In a somewhat
complex SEC enforcement action, Ms. Vitti drafted the appeal brief and related
motions which were filed with the Second Circuit. Other clients included
securities brokers and mid-sized corporations.
Since August 2003, Ms. Vitti has had her own practice allowing her
to more closely focus on her client’s needs. She is consulting with
a number of small businesses, drafting corporate documents, filing corporate
papers, litigating disputes, protecting intellectual property rights and
advising on potential avenues of growth. Several of her clients are small and
medium sized businesses that have gained international recognition.
Ms. Vitti has also developed a substantial Family Law practice. On behalf
of her clients, she has handled highly contested family matters and divorce
proceedings involving complex financial disputes and custody issues.
